Temperance Hill Vineyard is located in a cooler site in the Eola-Amity district, and for the first time, Nicolas Jay is turning it into a single vineyard wine in their portfolio. A dark ruby-purple core, with a light pink rim, it is a delight to observe in the glass. Crushed stone, white pepper, black cherry, huckleberry, scorched earth, and a touch of charcuterie are all present in the glass. The nose is absolutely stunning, complex, and interesting. The palate delivers chalky tannins, red and blue fruit, and some subtle Earl gray tea notes. Only 100 cases produced.
