The stunning 2019 Antica Terra Aurata is quite a bit different from the Aeqourin, but just as lovely. Aged for 17 months in 50% new French oak barrels, it’s much richer on the nose, with aspects of ripe yellow peach, button mushroom, and just a hint of butterscotch. The palate is luscious, dense, and full of flavors of sweet toasted baking spice and sliced yellow apple - it sports a slight tropical note with a smooch of fresh mint. Just 213 cases made. Highly recommended.
