This killer Pinot Noir from Maggie Harrison, the 2019 Ceras is outstanding in every way. It spends about 19 months on 26% new French oak, which gives it a roundness and a spiciness on the tongue. Featuring a light ruby core with a neon pink rim in the glass, it explodes with aromas and flavors of red currant, crushed cranberry, dried red rose petal, pine needle forest, wet crushed stone, and whole pink peppercorn. Beautifully complex in structure, it’s delicate but explosive on the palate. Perfect levels of acidity, rounded mouthfeel and silky tannins complete this wine. If you want to see what great winemakers can do with Pinot Noir in Oregon, this a wine to try. Enjoy this one now with a heavy decant or over the next 14 years or so. Only 718 cases made. Highly recommended.
