The 2020 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir from Solena begins with fruity notes of dark raspberry, baked blueberry, scorched herbs, and toasted anise seed. There is a touch of smokiness on the palate alongside cedary herbs and tobacco leaf on the shorter finish. Aged for 9 months in about 15% new French oak, it’s a wine that should be drunk early and soon. 400 cases made.
