Aged in a combination of neutral oak and amphora, the 2021 Gamay by Hundred Suns is a richer and more lush style of Gamay than you would typically find in Oregon. In a blind, most would call it Pinot Noir because of the black raspberry, orange peel, graphite, and earthy components on the nose. The palate is a bit leaner and more Gamay-like, with leaner fruit, racy acidity, hints of candied cherry, and a smooch of bubble gum.
