AUDEANT Rosé, Willamette Valley 2021

I had the chance to barrel taste this wine last year, and I was blown away by the 2021 Rosé from Audeant. Now that it’s in bottle, it’s even better. The color is as pretty as any Rosé that I’ve seen, showcasing a light neon pink core with a watery rim in the glass. As with all the wines from Audeant, the nose is incredibly distinctive, even between vintages - think notes of wet crushed volcanic stone, saline, mountain breeze, and some spice characteristics. Red-raspberry driven, with additional notes of fresh watermelon, charred Meyer lemon, and just a smooch of dried pineapple, finish the wine. This has the stuff to age for another 5-7 years with no issues whatsoever. This is the best Oregon Rosé I have ever tasted.
