A glimmering medium ruby core with an orange, moving to a silver rim in the glass, the 2019 Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir is incredibly intoxicating on the nose. Aromas of black cherry, blue raspberry, toasted clove, and dried violet flowers jump from the glass. The palate is much leaner than the nose, gifting flavors of red cherry, crushed cranberry, Earl Gray tea, and just a hint of forest herbs. Acidity checks in at the medium range, tannins are crunchy but not overpowering, and the finish is fruit-forward with a dried thyme herbal quality that hits the back palate.
