This wine comes from their estate vineyard, located in rocky, volcanic soils. The blocks are an approximate 50/50 split of Pommard and Dijon 777 clones, separately fermented, with a touch of Wädenswil being mixed into the Pommard. The wine opens with aromas of mushroom, forest floor, raspberry and red cherry. Leading to flavors of raspberry, Bing cherry, herbs and mushroom. An expressive effort with nice weight. There is a distinct earthy and Burgundian feel to this one. (Best 2015-2022) - December, 2015 (OB)
