ARGYLE Riesling 'Nuthouse' 2013

This wine comes from the Lone Star Vineyard, which has three separate blocks of Riesling totaling just under 7 acres of fruit. Winemaker Nate Closterman has nailed this one, combining fruit from stainless steel (70%) and oak aged fruit (30%). This refreshing style wine opens with a bouquet of poached pear, wet stone and lemon zest. There are flavors of lemon/lime, cantaloupe, apricot and a long finish. The minerality is there in this lithe effort. (Best 2015-2022) - December, 2015 (OB)
