DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Winery Hill Vineyard 2012

This highly impressive Pinot comes from the highest elevation of the Domaine Serene estate. The Pinot Noir was aged for 16 months in 56% new French oak prior to bottling. This opens with aromas of nutmeg, raspberry, mushroom, cherry pie, and rose blossoms in a beautifully perfumed nose. There is an impressive range of aromatics at play. On the palate there are flavors of raspberry, red cherry, lavender and with a long, 30 plus second finish. Impressive weight and texture to this fantastic bottling.(Best 2016-2028) - February, 2016 (OB)
