CRISTOM VINEYARDS Pinot Noir 'Matriarch Cuvée' 2012

The 'Matriarch Cuvée' is a stunning effort, this high end bottling has a wonderful dark color which leads to flavors of clove, black cherry, raspberry and hints of oak. There are flavors of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and guava, with nice minerality and balance. The dark fruit profiles are novel, but this will improve with a year in the bottle. (Best 2016-2025) - February, 2016 (OB)
