DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Jerusalem Hill Vineyard 2013

Sourced from a single vineyard site in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, the 2013 Domaine Serene 'Jerusalem Hill' Pinot Noir was aged 17 months in 62% new French oak. Tightly wound and needing some extend air contact to begin to express itself, this impressive Pinot Noir begins with aromas of red cherries, red currants, black tea and cinnamon accents. On the palate this is bright and full of energy, with flavors of red and black fruits, black truffle and forest floor all resonating throughout the wine. The weight on the mid-palate is gorgeous, leading to the long, vivid finish. Overall, this is an incredible effort from winemaker Erik Kramer and his team at Domaine Serene.
