DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Mark Bradford Vineyard 2013

The Mark Bradford Vineyard is an elevated, west-facing site, which is located in the Dundee Hills. This was the first vineyard planted at Domaine Serene and is named after Grace and Ken Evenstad's son. As this gorgeous Pinot Noir slowly unwinds it begins to release intoxicating aromatics of black tea, allspice, black cherries, forest floor and fresh black truffles, which all come together beautifully in the glass. The palate is plush and round, with bright flavors of red cherries, red raspberries, orange rind, black truffle and cinnamon all resonating on to the exceedingly long finish. This is certainly one of the standout wines from this challenging vintage, however it will ultimately benefit from extended bottle age for the fruit components to further develop. (Best 2017-2030) - November, 2016 (OB)
