DOMAINE SERENE Red Wine, Oregon 'Grand Cheval' 2013

The 2013 'Grand Cheval' is a unique proprietary blend of Syrah and Pinot Noir, which is sourced from the Seven Hills Vineyard in Walla Walla, as well as vineyards in the Dundee Hills. This vivid wine opens with gorgeous aromatics of black cherries and black plums along with black tea and hints of coffee grounds. There are rich flavors of black cherries, black tea, black raspberries and sage, which continue to weave their way through. Lithe and balanced, this is exceedingly delicious at this juncture but will benefit from another year or two in the cellar. (Best 2017-2028) - November, 2016 (OB)
