A stunner of a Pinot from this estate, the 2014 'Serendipity' by Le Cadeau shows wonderful length, poise and richness. This wine is a blend of Equinoxe and Rocheaux blocks in the vineyard. The wine begins with aromatics of red cherries, wet stone, anise and hints of wild blackberry with thyme. There are ripe flavors of red cherry, red raspberry, teaberry and suggestions of mulberry. There is a light gravel component to this wine, as well as slight suggestions of forest floor, as the wine picks up some earthy tones. The mouthfeel of this Pinot is smooth with a lovely texture, which coats the mid-palate. This will age beautifully for at least another decade. (Best 2017-2027) - January, 2017(OB)
