The 2014 'Seven Springs Vineyard' Chardonnay is another gorgeous effort from Evening Land. This sensational Chardonnay is sourced from a unique block of young vines at the southern edge of Seven Springs. The wine received a gentle whole cluster press, and was aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak followed by 6 monthsi in take prior to bottling. As this begins to open it releases wonderful aromatics of citrus, lemon curd, kumquat and minerals. On the palate this is beautifully balanced with lovely acidity backed by lithe flavors of vanilla blosom, lemon oil and suggestions of roasted pineapple. The exceedingly long finish, accentuates this gorgeous Chardonnay. There were 484 cases produced of this simply marvelous wine. (Best 2017-2027) - March, 2017 (OB)
