OWEN ROE Pinot Noir 'Eola-Amity Hills' 2014

The 2014 Eola-Amity Hills is an outstanding Pinot Noir which is made from a blend of 46% Dijon 115, 27% Pommard, and 27% Wadenswil clones. The wine was aged for 11 months in 40% new, 20% once filled, and 40% neutral French oak barrels prior to bottling. There are wonderful flavors of red cherries, red raspberries, black tea and nutmeg. The palate is both rich and lithe, showcasing flavors of strawberries, red raspberry, guava and rose water with hints of wild mushroom. Smooth and polished, this is already attractive and will continue to evolve over the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - April, 2017 (OB)
