This stunning Reserve Pinot Noir from Argyle was aged for 16 months in French oak prior to bottling, and was largely sourced from the Spirit Hill (40%), Knudsen (35%), and Lone Star (25%) vineyards. Beautiful red fruits dominate the aromatics, with Earl Grey tea and spicebox elements adding complexity. Balanced and focused, with a gorgeous silky texture, which showcases vivid flavors of cherry pie, blood orange, pomegranate seed and hints of forest floor. Overall, this Pinot Noir sits along side some of the best 'Reserve' bottling's I have tasted from Argyle, and is an absolutely outstanding showing from this storied Oregon estate and talanted winemaker Nate Klostermann.
