DOMAINE SERENE Pinot Noir, Jerusalem Hill Vineyard 2014

The 2014 Domaine Serene Jerusalem Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is another standout wine made by this storied estate. The wine was aged for 18 months in 58% new French oak prior to bottling opens with a lovely bouquet of cranberries, pomegranate, red cherry preserves and forest floor. The texture is absolutely gorgeous, round and generous, as it displays wonderful mid-palate weight, with flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, guava puree and black tea with a touch of peat moss. This finishes long and pretty with red fruits lingering on. I expect this outstanding wine to continue to show well over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2030) - October, 2017 (OB)
