The 2015 Temperance Hill Vineyard is the coolest of St. Innocent's seven sites and ripens the latest. The wine was de-stemmed and fermented in small stainless steel fermenters (no SO2) and aged in French oak barrels, 21% of which were new, for 16 months before bottling. The result is a translucent colored Pinot Noir opens with a bouquet of cranberries, cherries, pomegranate, with nuances of baking spices. There is a lovely combination of astringency and red fruit flavors on the mid-palate which is nicely balanced as it finishes long with red fruit flavors lingering.
