This beautiful Pinot Noir from Talisman comes from the Destein Vineyard which is located in the Bennett Valley. The vineyard site really benefits from the cool pacific air. This offers wonderful combination of fresh ripe fruit and an intense savory character. It begins with aromas of black cherries, raspberries and ripe plums, which are woven together with leather, earth, mint, basil, lavender and spices that all carry on to the palate. This continues to impress with its medium-body that is beautifully structured with polished tannins resulting in a gorgeous velvety texture. It is all underlined by a lovely layer of acidity that keeps it fresh and lively through the finish. While this is certainly a pleasure to drink today, it should go on to evolve and offer years of enjoyment ahead. Only 47 Cases produced.
