The 2016 Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet is yet another stunning release from Alpha Omega in this vintage. It instantly beings to impress with is striking aromatics of ripe currants, crème de cassis and even some blue fruit undertones, which combine with exotic spices, violets, graphite, tobacco and hints of loam all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied, rich and concentrated with rich layers of ripe dark fruits, mocha and graphite expanding seamlessly on to the long, voluptuous finish that effortlessly carries on. While this has the potential to age gracefully for quite some time, it is so delicious now that it will be very difficult to keep your hands off it in its youth.
