The 2020 Le Pré du Col Chardonnay spends 12 months in neutral French oak and 6 months in stainless steel and comes from vines planted in 2006. Starting off a little bit shy on the nose, but opens up to aromas and flavors of toasted hazelnut, dried pineapple, ripe apricot, and a touch of underripe yellow melon. I love the tension on this wine, and you quickly realize that this will get even better with a few years in the bottle. Just 50 cases made.
