Fruit coming from vines planted in 1980, the 2019 Ribbon Ridge Estate rests 10 months in 15% new French oak, with the rest being a combination of one year and neutral barrels. Vibrant notes of Bing cherry, blue plum, toasted sweet allspice, wet earth, and a hint of mountain sagebrush spill from the glass. Beautifully balanced between the chalky tannins, elevated acidity, and medium bodied-mouthfeel, it’s a lovely wine that will only get better over the next 5-10 years. 846 cases were made.
