The 2019 RR Pinot Noir Reserve rests for ten months in 50% new, 29% 1–year, and 21% neutral French oak barrels and delivers a scintillating nose of boysenberry, sweet whole clove, blueberry liquor, ground dark chocolate, and wet earth. It has an interesting Christmas spice aspect on the nose that is pretty adorable, and alongside the crunchy tannins, the full body, and the earthy and Asian spiced finish, it’s ready to drink now with a heavy decant, or over the next decade. Just 342 cases were made.
