The Maffei Vineyard is located in the Russian River Valley, first planted in the 1940's. The site is slightly cooler than the Dusi Vineyard and the wine as it shows a darker fruit profile with milk chocolate, stewed blackberries, milk chocolate all delivered through a plush mouthfeel. Dense and deep, this great Zinfandel will continue to age marvelously over the next decade.
