The 2016 Château La Fleur des Graves instantly impresses with its inviting aromas of crème de cassis and blueberries which are accompanied by tobacco, spring flowers, toast, herbs and fresh vanilla bean all emerging from the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium body, which is supported by fine-grained, silky tannins that make for a lovely elegant mouthfeel which continues through the finish. While this is fantastic now, it should become even more compelling as it evolves over the course of the next decade.
