BIG TABLE FARM Pinot Noir, Cattrall Brothers Vineyard 2017

The 2017 Cattrall Brothers Pinot Noir is another scintillating release from Big Table Farm. This vineyard run by Tom and Bill Cattrall is located in the Van Duzer corridor with great wind exposure set at 700 feet elevation and is one of the coolest sites Big Table Farm works with. The aromatics on the wine are downright seductive, with its black truffle appeal that mingles with cinnamon sticks, black cherry compote and shades of peat moss which are all marvelously woven together in the glass. On the palate Plush this continues to impress as it shows off its sexy, soft mouthfeel which is laced with flavors of blood orange zest, red currants cranberries, pomegranate alonh with with lovely minerals and earthy tones which linger through the finish. This Pinot Noir is simply outstanding today and should also go on to evolve gracefully for a decade or more.
