The 2017 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a wonderful showing which begins with inviting aromas of raspberries and macerated cherries which are woven together with spices, herbs, licorice and wet stones that all take shape in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully structured with silky tannins and a long sleek finish. This blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% other varieties should go on to offer a drinking window that spans nearly two decades.
