The 2016 Chiaramonte is composed of 100% Nero d’Avola which was sourced from the Dàgala Borromeo Estate and it's absolutely outstanding in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromas of wild berries, forest floor, spices, pepper, florals and minerals which all take shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this continues to impress as it boasts a gorgeous medium body that is structured with silky tannins. This goes on to display wonderful freshness and balance as it leads up to the mouth watering finish that lingers. While this is absolutely fantastic today, it should also continue to provide drinking pleasure for at least another five years.
