EL ENEMIGO Chardonnay 2017

The 2017 El Enemigo is a lovely chardonnay that was sourced from vineyards in the Valle de Uco. It spent 9 months in French oak and opens to aromas of lemon oil, green apples, kiwi, jasmine, orange blossoms and hints of crushed stones. On the palate this displays a nice textural richness that is backed by bright acidity keeping it fresh and vivid as it leaves behind flavors of lemon, green apples, honey blossoms on the lingering finish. Overall this is an excellent wine from winemaker Alejandro Vigil that is drinking beautifully today, but should also offer a drinking window that could span a decade.
