The 'Le Petit Clos' is a stunning second wine from Clos Apalta. In 2016 it is composed of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carménère, 28% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. It begins with inviting aromatics of blackberries and currants which are woven together with spices, florals, tar, tobacco and herbs all take shape beautifully. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully polished, with layers of ripe fruit that expand through the long, supple finish. A magnificent wine from this iconic property.
