The 2017 Tench Vineyard Cabernet is a remarkable showing in this vintage from Bevan. It instantly begins to impress with its bold aromatics of ripe blueberries and dark cherries that are woven together with sweet spices, fresh violets, mocha, graphite and dark chocolate shavings that all burst from the glass. On the palate this is incredibly expressive, bossing a full-bodied frame that is densely concentrated with an incredible opulent, layered mouthfeel. This continues to deliver loads of ripe black and blue fruits all the way through the huge, mouth coating finish. When it comes to powerful, concentrated wines, Bevan seemed to have the magic touch in this vintage, and the Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is another stunner.
