The 2017 Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon from Sojourn Cellars is fantastic. It opens to seductive aromatics of blueberries and blackcurrants which are woven together with pencil shavings, spices, cocoa powder and hints crushed stones which all soar from the glass. On the palate this is fresh and inviting, with a medium to full-bodied, backed by gorgeous plush texture that is framed by lovely minerality. This displays excellent balance, with gorgeous ripe flavors of blackcurrants and spices that persist through the long, mineral-laced finish. Outstanding today, but should also evolve nicely for well over a decade..
