The 2017 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay from Kistler is absolutely sensational. It instantly begins to impress as it opens up to an aromatic bouquet accented by nuances of white peach, green apple, grapefruit, honey and white flowers, along with flint, buttered almonds, toasted brioche and crushed seashell. On the palate this is beautifully balanced with the perfect combination of stony minerality and natural acidity which highlights the core of orchard fruits, lemon oil and tangerine flavors. This is an utterly stunning Chardonnay that is showing amazing on release and should continue to evolve for years to come.
