Larue's 2017 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens to inviting aromas of red cherries, red currant, strawberries, white pepper, and dried herbs, along with hints of mint, exotic spices and mushroom. On the palate this is medium-bodied and elegantly structured, with a bright core laced with flavors of sour cherries, red currants and spices framed by a lovey combination of acidity and minerality on the finish. This is another sensational Pinot Noir from LaRue, which should become even more compelling as it evolves over the course of the next decade.
