The 2017 Château la Liquiere Faugéres 'Cistus' begins with inviting aromas of cherries and ripe red berries, woven together with spices, florals, forest floor, black olives, wild herbs and a subtle hint of chocolate licorice. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied, with wonderful textural richness, backed by beautiful polished tannins. It continues to impress with its remarkable concentration and depth, while remaining nicely balanced all the way through the finish. A fantastic wine that should age nicely over the next decade.
