The 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon includes 2% Petit Verdot and was sourced in-house from multiple vineyards managed by Silverado Farming Company. A blend of four appellations; Coombsville, Oak Knoll, Oakville, and St. Helena. Aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak and an additional 6 months in bottle prior to release. The 2018 is an absolute stunner from winemaker Maayan Koschitzky. It instantly begins to impress with its aromas of dark cherries, currants, graphite, violets, licorice and gravel that all come together and burst from the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied, with wonderful overall balance and poise. This displays a gorgeous velvety texture with layers of ripe, fruit that continue to build through the long plush finish. This is already stunning, and should only become more compelling as it evolves over the next two decades.
