The 2018 Home Ranch Cuvée The 2018 is an excllent release from Sojourn. It consists of clone 337 Cabernet from the Home Ranch Vineyard as well as some Cabernet from neighboring vineyards in the southern Sonoma Valley. It opens to aromas of dark cherries and blueberries, which are woven together with sweet spices, dried herbs, mocha and hints of pipe tobacco nuances all developing in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium-plus body which is layered with flavors of dark and red fruits accented by sweet spices that persist through the finish. This Cabernet is already quite expressive at this early stage, and should continue to develop nicely over the course of the next decade.
