The 2019 Mayacamas Chardonnay is absolutely radiant. Pure and focused with striking aromas of tropical fruit, pear, lemon cream, flint, crushed oyster shell and pretty nuances of honey blossoms. The palate is simply stunning, displaying incredible balance and focus, with a gorgeous creamy texture that is kept bright and lively from the beautiful acidity and minerality. This is drinking excellent at this stage and should continue to evolve over the next decade. Year after Year Mayacamas produces one of the most compelling examples of Chardonnay from Napa Valley and this is no exception, another brilliant release.
