The 2018 Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Cabernet Sauvignon is a massive, towering wine which immediately starts off displaying an impressive dark inky color, by intense aromas of ripe blueberries, blackberry compote and huckleberries which are accompanied by fresh violets, dark chocolate, sweet spices, graphite and hints of dusty loam that all take shape and burst from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, layered and intense, with outstanding overall depth and concentration. It goes on to impress as it displays a wonderful rich. enveloping texture all the way through the mouth coating finish. This is a serious wine that is already absolutely otstanding, especially if given some air contact, however should also offer an incredibaly long drinking window.
