This Chardonnay from the legendary Bien Nacido vineyard is and outstanding offering from winemaker Gavin Chanin in 2019. It delivers a bouquet of Meyer lemons, pear, and tangerine combined with secondary aromas of brioche, honeysuckle and some flinty minerals. There is very nicely integrated oak on this medium to full bodied white, with plenty of toasty, and citrus nuances, and a great mineral driven finish. This is a classic Chardonnay that does everything right. It will gain more complexity with a year or two of bottle age and evolve gracefully for a decade.
