The 2019 Las Madres Vineyard 'Esther Block' Syrah from Myriad is outstanding. It immediately impresses with its gorgeous deep purple color along with aromas of blackberries and dark cherries that are woven together with black olives, smoke, violets, wet loamy earth and hints of spices. On the palate this is beautifully balanced with lovely ripe fruit and bright acidity give way to explosive flavors dark fruits, florals, and smoky spices that carry on and on. Overall this is a stunning Syrah that is excellent now but will certainly evolve tremendously over the course of the next decade.
