The 2019 Beckstoffer GIII is a wonderful showing that bursts open with begins seductive aromatics of crème de cassis, blueberries, spring florals, spices and hints of graphite all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and structured with dusty tannins that frame the plush texture. This also displays remarkable overall balance with its beautiful ripe fruits that expand seamlessly from its core and linger effortlessly on the long, supple finish. An utterly compelling wine that is showing well now and will continue to age gracefully for years to come. This evolves dramatically with extended air contact, and was even more nuanced and impressive the following day. I expect this should thrive in the cellar and offer decades of drinking pleasure ahead.
