The 2021 Beckstoffer Las Piedras Shiverick Reserve is a monumental wine from Quivet. It begins with intoxicating aromatics of ripe blackberry compote, blueberry pie, fresh violets, exotic spices, mint, loam and hints of licorice. This is full-bodied, and remarkably concentrated with ripe black and blue fruits emerging from its core. This has incredible depth and dimension with big polished tannins that are nicely integrated. There is also a wonderful sense of freshness highlighting the big fruit, which continues to carry through on the long voluptuous finish. This is absolutely outstanding.
