The 2020 'Los Compadres' is a selection of Clone 337 & 4 which comes from younger vines in the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard. It begins with aromas of red currants, blueberries, licorice, wet earthy clay and hints of florals that all take shape as this unwinds in the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and structured beautiful soft, round tannins resulting in an utterly seamless mouthfeel. It goes on to display a lovey fresh character, which frames the ripe blue and red fruit flavor profile before coming to an end with a gorgeous velvety finish. Only a minuscule 2 barrels produced.
