The 2019 Helena Helena Vineyard Cabernet from Anakota is drop-dead gorgeous. It begins with seductive red opens to inviting aromatics of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries which are laced with violets, mocha, loam and graphite nuances which all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and voluptuous, with gorgeous layers of ripe dark fruits which are accented by mocha and spices. Concentrated and beautifully polished, this continues to glide seamlessly across the palate as it heads into the long, opulent finish. This is nothing short of outstanding today, but should also thrive in the cellar for years to come.
