The 2017 'Riserva Sergio Zenato' Amarone inviting aromatics of ripe dark cherries, blackberries, dark plums and raisins, which are accompanied by exotic spices, chocolate, wet stones and hints of sweet herbs. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully polished, delivering a juicy dark fruits, which are framed by lovely spice nuances. This continues to impress with its outstanding layered texture. It all comes to an end with a long finish that leaves behind delicious flavors lingering on and on. A fantastic Amarone from Zenato that should be able to handle two decades of cellaring with ease.
