The Nicasia vineyard is located in the far southerly growing region of Altamira in La Consulta, and it is the only planting of the special Catena Selection Manbec in this area. This is absolutely fabulous wine in 2019, as it instantly begins to impress with profound aromas of blackberries and dark plums, which are accented by crushed violets, herbs, sweet spices and hints of loam all developing in the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, balanced and concentrated with a gorgeous texture that expands into the velvety finish. While this is nothing short of delicious today, this youthful Malbec will without question continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
