The 2021 Adrianna Vineyard 'Fortuna Terrae' is an utterly thrilling wine from Catena Zapata. It comes from the deep loamy soils and high altitude of the Adrianna Vineyard. This fantastic Malbec begins with beautifully perfumed aromas of ripe blackberries and red berries woven together with fresh spring florals, herbs, spices and crushed stones all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is a classy expression of Malbec that is, balanced, structured and complex, with remarkable precision and focus. It's beautifully concentrated with gorgeous underlying acidity and mineral character keeping it fresh and inviting leading up to the the long, polished finish. All being said, this is a fascinating and impeccably made wine that will age gracefully for decades.
